The International Gem & Jewelry Show, with over 200 booths, is one of the largest exhibitions of gems, minerals and jewelry in the world. The show features one-of-a-kind jewelry creations, gorgeous wedding bands and engagement rings, exotic gems, beads, pearls, exquisite fine jewelry, estate collections and much more.
AMAZING BEADING CLASSES: We are proud to announce a partnership with Wendy Simpson Conner – author of The Best Little Beading Book and 14 other books about beading. Wendy will be teaching amazing beading workshops all weekend. Wendy is well known for her jewelry – she was recently featured in Beverly Hills Magazine for her design work. During the show weekend, she will teach workshops on wire-work, making earrings and her patented pearl knotting technique. CLASSES ARE FREE w/purchase of $10 class kit.

ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL GEM & JEWELRY SHOW: The International Gem & Jewelry Show (Intergem) was founded 45 years ago by Herbert A. Duke. The company produces over ninety gem and bead shows each year, in cities across the country. It is one of the few shows of its kind open to the public, with a small section dedicated to professional jewelers, artists and others involved full-time in the jewelry-making trade. Intergem is based in Rockville, Maryland.

Jewelry Show Hosts Coat Drive for Local People In Need
Warming DC…One Coat at a Time
(Free admission for two & one free bracelet provided for each donation.)
Chantilly, VA – February 17-19, 2012 – In its 45th year, The International Gem & Jewelry Show at the Dulles Expo Center provides an exciting opportunity to shop the largest selection of jewelry at the lowest prices available. This February, the show will be hosting a coat drive on-site at their event to help local people in the community stay warm.
COAT DRIVE INFO: The International Gem & Jewelry Show is collecting clean, gently used coats and jackets as part of the One Warm Coat community service project. Coats of all shapes sizes are welcome. One Warm Coat is dedicated to distributing reusable coats, free of charge, directly to local children and adults. As a thank you for on-site donations, the International Gem & Jewelry Show will provide each person who donates a clean, gently worn coat an admission ticket good for two people to enter the February show and one FREE crystal bracelet.
All donated coats will be given to ALIVE! for distribution. ALIVE!, is the largest private safety net for those in need in the City of Alexandria. The organization’s Last Saturday Food Distribution program will provide a week’s worth of food and warm coats to families in need on February 25th. ALIVE! Volunteers will be on location to collect coats during the following times:

Saturday 9:45AM – 5:00PM
Sunday 10:45AM – 4:00PM
SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES: February 18th – 12PM – 2PM – Mix 107.3’s Street Team and Chilli Amar will be on site to host the coat drive, plus attendees will have the chance to win exciting station prizes.
